House League Awards

House League Awards will be nominated on a division basis, with a Division Award for the first three awards; these awards will be presented at our closing day festivities. The League will then decide on the award winner who will be nominated as Pickering Baseball Association’s official nominee to the Eastern Ontario Baseball Association Awards Committee for the that year.

Player of the Year
This award is for the player who shows a high level of skill in all areas of the game.

Team Spirit Award
This award is for the player that shows great enthusiasm, always shows up for the games ready to play, cheers on all his/her team-mates, has regular attendance and has a great attitude.  This player may not be the best player on the team but shines with team spirit.

Coach of the Year
This award is for the coach that goes beyond coaching the players.  This coach knows the game, and the rules, positive attitude and always ready to play.  This coach is always striving to teach the players to reach their ability and teaches them good sportsmanship.

Volunteer of the Year
This award is for anyone who volunteers their time with the PBA.  It can be the Coach or Assistant Coach that is always ready to teach and help the players.  It could be the Bench Mom/Dad that goes above and beyond the call of duty.  Absolutely any volunteer you feel deserves this award. This award is not given at the division level; however, all division members should submit their nominations for this award. This award recipient will be considered for the PBA nominee to the EOBA Awards for this baseball year.

Tball Umpire of the Year (House League)
The Tball Umpiring Programme is unique to House League; therefore, it will be the TBALL members who will have the strongest voice here, along with our Tball Umpire Coordinator.  This is an innovative programme unique to the PBA, we want to support it so let us know what you think!
 

Rep Awards

Player of the Year
Player that shows a high level of skill in all areas of the game; the recipient will be chosen from all rep nominations, all rep teams that are Peewee and below as well as Bantam and above will be nominating for this award. Award winners moves onto the EOBA.

Pitcher of the Year
The pitcher who consistently displays  strong pitching skills in various situations, throughout the season; this recipient will be chosen from all rep nominations, all rep members can nominate for this PBA Award. The winner will be the PBA nominee to the EOBA.

Coach of the Year
Awarded to the coach who goes beyond coaching, the coach who knows the game, the rules, exemplifies, fair play and respect, on the ball field and  in the dugout.
 

Both House League & Rep Awards

Umpire of the Year
Any umpire who shows good spirit, knows the rules and has an evident love for the game, both the House League and Rep Divisions should nominate for this position, the winner of this Award will be the PBA’s nominee to the EOBA Awards for the current year.

Volunteer of the Year
This award is for anyone who volunteers their time with the PBA.  It can be the Coach or Assistant Coach that is always ready to teach and help the players.  It could be the Bench Mom/Dad that goes above and beyond the call of duty.  Absolutely any volunteer you feel deserves this award. This award recipient will be considered for the PBA nominee to the EOBA Awards this year.
