About Us
We are the Pickering Baseball Association. We operate under the guidance of the Eastern Ontario Baseball Association (EOBA), which is a part of the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) www.baseballontario.com. We are supported fully at the administrative level by dedicated unpaid volunteers who are nominated on a yearly basis at our annual General Meeting. Our coaches, scorekeepers, etc. are volunteers as well.
The Association supports three levels of hardball play for the youth of Pickering.
Our goal is to teach the children fair play and sportsmanship while they are busy and having fun. Our hope is that our members enjoy some time together outdoors and learn a little while they are there.
We have operated successfully in Pickering for over 25 years; we have enjoyed membership up to 900 in some seasons. Our Executive continues to work hard in the off season to ensure our programming improves.
We follow specific rules and regulations. Our Executive Board is accountable directly to the Ontario Baseball Association. To view any directive that we operate under we invite you to browse this site or contact president@pickeringbaseball.ca.
Pickering Parks
The Pickering Baseball Association is allowed to use the city parks to play ball. Please help us to keep the parks clean and in good repair. Vehicles should not be driven onto the grass at any of the parks. Parking is allowed in designated areas only. Your help is appreciated.
Summer Employment
For members interested in summer employment we offer umpire training and grounds-keeping positions, the umpiring schedule is set up so that members can work the nights they are not playing ball, it is a win/win situation. Interested members should contact chiefumpire@pickeringbaseball.ca for more information.
Training
We have training programs in the off season beginning in October and offer training support throughout the season for those who are interested. Please contact Gary Tamemoto, playerdevelopment@pickeringbaseball.ca. We also have training available for our coaches, those interested should contact Gary Tomemoto.
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS OR QUESTIONS.
Vice President & Director of House League

The Association supports three levels of hardball play for the youth of Pickering.
- House League, which is open to all children who want to play ball,
- Select which is open to all House League players, however if they chose to try, they are involved in a tryout process and not all members who tryout will make the team. Select is played on Weekends and does not interfere with House League play. All Select players must participate in House League games.
- Rep is the third level of hardball which is open to all children but accepts only those who are chosen by the team coach. For more information regarding our Rep Program please contact vprep@pickeringbaseball.ca.
